Client Relationships
Our approach to client relationships and engagements is professional and collaborative.
This implies a joint understanding of the issues to be addressed and the outcomes
expected within an environment of mutual trust. There are four typical steps:
- Agreeing the issues to be addressed, engagement scope and anticipated outcomes
- Determining the process and resources devoted to the engagement are appropriate
- Establishing a willingness to implement the results of the engagement
- Understanding that the consultant’s and clients expertise are complimentary
Relationship success requires the type of expertise and experience in the aviation
industry and in project and process management, which ACE can provide. Effective
collaboration is also requires mutual trust.
Engagement approaches
In our work there are three typical client engagement approaches reflecting specific
circumstances, issues and client needs:
Advisory:
ACE has the skill and expertise base to work as ‘Advisors’ to senior
airline and airport executives largely as discussion partners. This can be from
a technical/operational perspective through to a more strategic/commercial focus.
Such engagements can comprise one-on-one discussions, providing practical expert
opinion and preparing confidential reports. Engagements of this nature can range
from developing organizations facing growth challenges to large organizations
focused on organization or culture change. |
Project:
ACE undertakes work with clients on a ‘Project’ basis that is either
focused on resolving their challenges or assisting them in exploiting opportunities.
These range from technical, safety and operational to strategic, commercial and
organisational issues. Our first type of engagement, which is more operational,
technical and safety in nature, such as with smaller airlines or regional airports,
concentrates on the significant resource and capability constraints and regulatory
compliance requirements faced by these organisations , on a day-to-day basis,
impacting on their ability to sustain growth over the longer term. Our second
type of engagement, which is typically with senior executives of major airlines,
airport corporations, regulatory authorities and aviation service providers,
is commercial and strategic in nature and the projects address both competitive
issues and company organisational challenges. |
Training and Development
ACE has a specialisation in providing training and development for its clients.
It uses three approaches in delivering these services:
- Its team of experts produce and conduct tailored courses
- Its team assist in developing "in house" training and facilitating workshops
- Its network of "global centres of aviation excellence"
provides courses
All of the courses concentrate on meeting the regulatory requirements and providing
professional and technical training, as well as the development of line and management
personnel. ACE's role is to provide training and development for our
clients
in the most efficient and effective manner by matching the most suitable of the
approaches (or a combination of the same) outlined above.
